Privacy record

Privacy Policy.

This page explains how Jakkrabbits handles information across browsing, sizing help, orders, workshop communication, tracking, support, and future AI fit tools.

Quick read

The short version.

A layered policy helps customers understand the practical point first, then read the details when needed.

What We Collect

Contact details, order information, sizing notes, payment metadata, shipping details, support messages, and site usage signals needed to run the service.

Why We Use It

To build your order, review fit, process payment, arrange shipping, answer support questions, prevent abuse, and improve the website.

How We Protect It

Access should stay limited to the people and systems that need the data, with payment details handled through payment providers instead of stored directly by Jakkrabbits.

Your Choices

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, marketing opt-out, or other privacy help by contacting the workshop support address.

Full policy

How customer information is handled.

This policy is written for the current revamp and the future custom commerce engine. It should be reviewed again when checkout, customer accounts, AI sizing, analytics, and the admin system are finalized.

01

Scope

This policy explains how Jakkrabbits handles information across the website.

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit Jakkrabbits online experiences, browse products, request sizing help, place an order, track an order, subscribe to updates, contact support, or use related services.

Jakkrabbits is building its own commerce engine. During the UI/UX phase, some pages are prototypes; the same privacy principles should carry into the final backend, checkout, order tracking, AI sizing, and CMS systems.

02

Information You Provide

We collect the details you choose to send when using Jakkrabbits services.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. Ordering handmade footwear needs more context than a standard retail checkout because the workshop may need fit notes, customization details, and delivery information.

You should provide accurate information and tell us when details change, especially if an order is active.

  • Name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and billing details.
  • Order number, selected product, leather, last, sole, hardware, size, and custom notes.
  • Sizing details, measurement notes, fit history, photos or files you choose to upload for fit support, and messages sent to the workshop.
  • Account credentials if customer accounts are introduced later.
  • Payment-related information needed to process an order. Full card details should be handled by payment providers, not stored directly by Jakkrabbits.

03

Information Collected Automatically

Some technical information is collected when the site loads or services are used.

Like most websites, Jakkrabbits may collect technical information that helps the site function, protects the service, and shows how visitors use pages.

This can include device, browser, IP-derived location, referral, page view, session, diagnostic, and security log data.

04

Cookies And Analytics

Cookies help operate the site and may later support analytics or marketing.

Essential cookies or local storage may be used to keep the website working, remember interface choices, protect forms, and maintain checkout or order-tracking flows.

If Jakkrabbits enables analytics, advertising pixels, or personalization later, the site should provide a cookie preference experience where legally required and record those choices in the backend.

  • Necessary cookies support core site and commerce behavior.
  • Analytics cookies help understand page performance and product interest.
  • Marketing cookies or pixels should only be enabled after the required disclosure and consent/opt-out flow is in place.

05

How We Use Information

Personal information is used to run the workshop, commerce, and support experience.

Jakkrabbits uses information for the purposes connected to the service requested by the customer and for responsible business operations.

We should not use customer information for unrelated purposes without explaining the new use and collecting any required consent.

  • Process orders, payments, confirmations, cancellations, and refunds.
  • Review sizing, last choice, width, and order specifications before production.
  • Build, quality-check, ship, and track handmade footwear.
  • Respond to support messages and privacy requests.
  • Send service updates, workshop notifications, or marketing messages where allowed.
  • Protect the website from fraud, abuse, security incidents, and operational errors.
  • Improve page content, product guidance, sizing education, and customer experience.
  • Comply with tax, accounting, legal, customs, and dispute obligations.

06

Payments, Orders, And Shipping

Order data moves through payment, workshop, and delivery workflows.

A completed order requires information to move through several systems: checkout, payment processing, workshop production, support, and shipment.

The future backend should store only the payment metadata needed to reconcile the order. Sensitive payment instrument details should remain with the payment provider.

  • Order records connect customer details to the selected build and production status.
  • Workshop records may contain fit notes, material choices, queue status, internal QC status, and customer-safe progress notes.
  • Shipping records may include name, phone, address, carrier, tracking number, customs details, and delivery status.

07

AI Sizing And Fit Tools

Future AI measurement features need a dedicated notice and consent path.

Jakkrabbits plans to explore AI-assisted foot measurement and fit estimation. This should be treated as a separate privacy moment because the user may capture or upload foot images.

Before using the feature, the page should explain what is captured, how it is analyzed, whether images are stored, how long they are retained, what model/provider is used, and how the estimate should be interpreted.

  • AI fit output should be presented as an estimate, not a guaranteed size.
  • Images should not be used for unrelated model training unless this is clearly disclosed and consented to.
  • Consent for AI sizing should be logged separately from checkout or newsletter consent.

08

Service Providers

Jakkrabbits may share data with providers that help operate the service.

Jakkrabbits may use external providers for hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, customer support, fraud prevention, file storage, AI analysis, and shipping.

These providers should only receive the information needed for their assigned function and should be reviewed before production use.

09

International Processing

A global customer base means data may cross borders.

Jakkrabbits is based in Bandung, Indonesia, and serves customers internationally. Information may be processed in Indonesia and in countries where service providers operate.

The final backend should document processor locations, data transfer safeguards where required, and vendor responsibilities.

10

Retention

Information should be kept only as long as it has a business or legal reason.

Jakkrabbits should retain information for as long as needed to provide services, complete orders, resolve support issues, meet tax/accounting/legal obligations, prevent fraud, and maintain an accurate workshop history.

When data is no longer needed, it should be deleted, anonymized, or archived according to documented retention rules.

11

Security

Customer information should be protected with practical technical and operational safeguards.

No website can promise perfect security, but Jakkrabbits should use reasonable safeguards for the sensitivity of the data and the stage of the commerce system.

Security controls should include limited access, encrypted transport, provider review, audit logs for admin actions, secure credential handling, and incident response procedures.

12

Your Privacy Choices And Rights

Customers can ask for help with access, correction, deletion, and marketing choices.

Depending on location and applicable law, customers may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, restrict, object to, or opt out of certain uses of personal information.

Jakkrabbits may need to verify the requester before disclosing or changing order-related data. This protects customers from unauthorized access to private order information.

  • Access: ask what information is connected to you.
  • Correction: ask to update inaccurate order, contact, or account details.
  • Deletion: ask for eligible information to be deleted.
  • Marketing opt-out: unsubscribe from promotional messages.
  • Consent withdrawal: withdraw optional consent where applicable.

13

Children

Jakkrabbits services are not intended for children.

Jakkrabbits products and services are intended for adults or customers old enough to make purchases with appropriate permission.

If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected without appropriate consent, we should delete it or take other required steps.

14

Policy Updates

The policy should be updated when the service or legal obligations change.

Jakkrabbits may update this policy as the website, commerce engine, AI sizing tools, CMS, analytics, or legal requirements change.

The current version should show the latest review date, and material changes should be communicated in a reasonable way.

15

Contact

Privacy questions should go through the workshop support address.

For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact Jakkrabbits at support@jakkrabbits.com.

When submitting a request, include enough context for the team to find the related order, account, or message history, but do not send sensitive payment details by email.
