Upper stitching is where flat leather begins to behave like a future pair.
A boot does not start as a shape. It starts as panels, lines, tension, and small choices at the stitching table.
From flat panels to structure
The upper table controls alignment, seam allowance, and the first signs of volume. A clean upper makes lasting easier and helps the final silhouette keep its intention.

The goal is not only a straight stitch. The goal is a panel that will pull correctly when the upper is shaped.
